![]() Most of it can be ignored if you are only concerned about lore, though Sorrow's Furnace (which is arguably the easiest of all the Elite mssions is what Sorrow's Embrace from GW2 used to be, and the final boss of it is the same as in SE's Story Mode. But there will be a few parts where I will either absolutely need other players or be really skilled and possibly over leveled?Īll those places mentioned are Elite missions, basically the equivelent of endgame/raid content. Guild Wars is a game that generally rewards patience.Īre the places you mentioned dungeons or are they part of the story? as someone who only wants to get the story and has no plans to do any pvp or endgame content that doesn't further the story, I can get through most of the story with just me and my ai companions. The Domain of Anguish is potentially do-able with Hero/Hench but again you do need to be a good player. However you will not complete Underworld, unless you are really really good (as you need to split your party for one of the quests (The Four Horsemen)) You can finish Fissure of Woe with Hero/Hench. There is a couple areas you will need another player for (Urgoz and The Deep), as they are 12 member parties. A lot of players don't like the successor (Guild Wars 2), and prefer to play the original game.Īnswering OP's question you can do almost everything in the game with just your heroes/henchmen. True there are fewer players playing, but it's not dead. Originally posted by Anon-E-Mouse:Funny, I don't see it as dead. ![]() The campaigns don't really have a linear story, but if you want to do it true to chronology, do as I said above, start in Nightfall, get heroes, then start on prophecies > Factions > Nightfall > EOTN. But since you said this isn't your aim, enjoy! This is a very good game, and a very good RPG(since youre soloing) and a very good MMORPG(until most of the player base left). ![]() With Heroes/Henchmen this game is easily playable solo, it has a rich story and is very much worth paying and playing.Īs said above Hard Mode and dungeoning/endgaming become much more difficult solo, but still most is doable, some you will need human companions. Level up your lower level ones from Nightfall, and the level 20 ones from EOTN will be there when you get to 8 party areas (most early game areas are 4 party areas) (ie, only 4 characters in your party or 8 in larger areas). If I were you start off in Nightfall, hit level 10, then go to EOTN, get the level 20 heroes - Then do any of the campaigns (save EOTN until last) with your heroes. ![]()
