If you’re on the fence about Legion, this is a great opportunity to dip your toes in and find out whether it’s a game that you want to nab. You’ll be able to preload the trial from 4am AEDT on March 25, with the trial beginning proper at 3am AEDT on March 26. Players will also be able to take part in the newly-released online component of Legion during this trail. This free trial will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X&S and PC and will allow players to explore four of the eight boroughs, recruit any of the NPCs in the game, take part in all of the game’s open-world activities and play through the campaign up until the Skye Larson mission. The new playstyle is a bit of a departure for the series, so it’s understandable that some folks might be wary of taking the plunge and buying the game for themselves, unaware if this gameplay gimmick will be to their liking. It was a risk introducing a mechanic that allows players to take control of almost any NPC into the third-person action hacking series, but it’s one that’s seemingly paid off ( we gave it an 8).
